Overview

The Cameron Institute was formally established in 2025 to create greater access to and expand the global reach of decades of organizational effectiveness research by Dr. Kim Cameron in the areas of Culture Change, Positive Leadership, and Management Excellence.

Dr. Cameron has been privileged to work with numerous global Fortune 500 companies, government organizations, and thousands of for profit and non-profit businesses.

WHAT MAKES CAMERON INSTITUTE DIFFERENT

The Cameron Institute’s organizational effectiveness models, frameworks, and assessments are based on five decades of research and are, in some cases (such as with the Competing Values Framework™), considered the most important and widely-used frameworks and assessments in the history of business.  No other set of frameworks and tools is more validated by research and application in thousands of organizations globally and with hundreds of thousands of executives.

Through the research and publications of Dr. Kim Cameron, Cameron Institute provides 27 assessments in the areas of Culture Change, Positive Leadership, and Management Excellence.  Some of these assessments, such as the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI)™ are recognized globally as the definitive instrument for measuring culture, leadership competencies, or management skills.

In addition, Cameron Institute provides world-renowned programs to implement culture change, instill positive leadership practices, and enhance the management skills of your organization’s leadership to deliver unprecedented revenue growth, stock price appreciation, profitability, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, employee retention, and levels of organizational and individual health and wellness that were thought to be impossible. In other words, extraordinary performance.

Dr. Cameron’s work has been featured in numerous publications, media outlets, and conferences such as TEDx.  He is a Professor Emeritus of Management and Organizations at the University of Michigan.  More detailed information regarding Dr. Cameron’s background can also be found on his personal website.
